Tragic Smoothie

This shit is bananas…..!  B-A-N-A-N-A-S

You should always have frozen bananas on hand. Peel the fruit, cut them into chunks, place in a gallon freezer bag. You don’t need ice when you use these tasty little suckers.

Today’s recipe is inspired by:

Tragic Kingdom, the Grammy-winning, danceable album by No Doubt.

The first time I heard and saw No Doubt was on MTV’s Beach House in 1996. Gwen’s voice was at the same time annoying and irresistible. And, of course, her fashion sense was intriguing even then. I didn’t really have an opinion on the band for a few years, but they definitely grew on me.

You know, I don’t really have a recipe for this and you don’t need one!

Go look in your fridge. Is there any fruit?

You can probably make a smoothie with it. Ya got a blender?

I’ll probably publish some more tips on smoothie making at some point. The main point here was the frozen bananas.

Back to the music.

Singles: Just a Girl, Don’t Speak, Spiderwebs

My Favorite: The Climb, for its pure emotion. Lyrically, it’s about the rise and struggle to stardom and fame, how careful you must be to rise to the top in an industry as cutthroat as music, how it can be gone in an instant. I remember always having the vision to climb a corporate ladder, but being very disappointed with the work involved. I admire that whole band for putting up with the bullshit that’s required to rise to the top in any capacity.
